Keep Your Boat Secure at the Beach
Image Notice: Boating scenes are conceptual illustrations to demonstrate possible product uses.
Sandy Beach Anchors are heavy-duty, handmade anchors designed for boats of many sizes—from small recreational boats and pontoons to large houseboats.
Use them when your boat is pulled onto the beach or floating just offshore and you prefer to anchor securely in the sand instead of dropping an anchor in the water.

Anchor Accessories can be added to complete your anchoring setup with our optional cleat and connecting straps.
The cleat provides a convenient tie-off point at the anchor, while the heavy-duty straps connect multiple anchors for added holding strength.
Both are designed to work with Sandy Beach Anchors and make setting up a secure, organized anchoring system easier.

Find the Right Anchor for Your Boat
Whether you are securing a large houseboat or keeping a pontoon or runabout on the beach or just offshore, Sandy Beach Anchors offers a model designed to fit your boating needs.
The Heavy Duty Anchor
Built with houseboats and larger boats in mind, the Heavy Duty Anchor features rugged steel construction and a wide spade base for a substantial hold in the sand.
The built-in slide hammer makes installation quick and easy. No digging a deep hole and burying the anchor, no twisting an auger into the sand, and no separate hammer required—simply use the slide hammer to drive the spade securely into the beach.

Ordinary beach stakes and lightweight anchors may not provide enough holding strength for a large boat.
For additional holding strength, multiple Heavy Duty Sandy Beach Anchors can be placed in a straight row and connected together with straps, creating a reinforced, in-line anchoring system for larger boats or when additional holding strength is desired .
The same setup can also be used when two or more houseboats are beached side-by-side, with an anchor system positioned on the outside of each boat.
Use this smaller anchor to secure a single boat or multiple boats tied together. The anchor helps reduce swaying in the wind and holds the bow or stern of boats floating close to shore.
The Sport Anchor

Sandy Beach Anchors are handcrafted by Dave Watts. After years of boating and beaching their 67-foot houseboat and pontoon, and experiencing their share of storms and changing weather on Lake Lanier, Dave understands firsthand the importance of having a strong, practical way to secure boats in the sand.
He fabricates each anchor with durability, ease of use, and real-world boating needs in mind.
Important: Sandy Beach Anchors secure your boat to the shoreline. They do not replace a conventional marine anchor when one is needed to keep a floating boat away from shore. Always consider wind direction, current, changing weather and local conditions.

The Sandy Beach Anchor Cleat
- $89 purchased separately
- $79 when purchased with an anchor

The Sandy Beach Anchor Cleat provides a convenient, rope-friendly tie-off point for your anchor line. It attaches directly to the hole in the anchor’s spade, helping prevent the rope from rubbing against the edge of the opening.
The removable assembly features a 10-inch galvanized cleat mounted to a heavy ¼-inch steel plate and connects to the anchor with a secure snap hook. It installs and removes quickly, making it easy to tie, adjust and release your anchor line.

These commercially manufactured, heavy-duty cam-buckle straps have been selected for use with Sandy Beach Anchors. They connect multiple anchors in a straight row, allowing the anchors to work together for added stability and holding strength.
Each set includes:
• Two orange straps measuring 1½ inches wide × 8 feet long
• Coated safety S-hooks with spring-loaded keeper clips
• Cam buckles for quick, easy adjustment
• Reinforced polyester webbing
• Convenient storage bag
Each strap has a manufacturer-rated working load limit of 1,000 pounds and a break strength of 3,000 pounds. These ratings apply to the straps themselves and are not boat-weight ratings.
Sold as a set of two straps. Anchors are sold separately. Customers may also provide their own appropriately rated straps.
